Some achievements are about far more than reaching the finish line. Hashtag Coaching athlete Rhi West recently completed an extraordinary four-day journey from Wymondham to Paris, covering more than 650 kilometres for an important cause.
Taking the lead
Rhi did not simply take part in the organised ride. She played an instrumental role in bringing it together before leading the group from Wymondham to London, across the Channel and through France into Paris.
Completing more than 650 kilometres across four days was a huge physical challenge, but the achievement also represented months of dedicated training, preparation and organisation.
That commitment helped Rhi arrive ready to support the group, take on each day’s distance and lead the journey all the way to Paris.
Riding for Sam
The journey began at Wymondham Chiropractic Clinic as part of its Ride for Freedom fundraiser for Sam James.
The goal is to raise £8,000 towards a specialist handcycle that will help Sam rebuild his strength following a year of bed rest and surgery.
This gave every kilometre of the journey a purpose beyond the ride itself. It became an opportunity to bring people together, raise awareness and help give Sam greater freedom through cycling.

An incredible achievement
Riding more than 650 kilometres would be a remarkable achievement on its own. Helping to organise the challenge, leading the group for four days and completing it in support of someone else makes Rhi’s journey even more inspiring.
It is a brilliant example of what can be achieved through preparation, determination and the support of the people around you.
Congratulations, Rhi. An incredible journey for a fantastic cause.
